Rooms will be available from 3pm on the day of your arrival. Check out will be by 11am on the day of your departure. These times may be varied from time to time at the Hotel’s discretion.
Method of Payment
We accept cash, Visa, and MasterCard. Cheques are no longer accepted.
We offer a full range of packages and pricing.
All prices will be shown on our website and quoted by our staff in Pounds Sterling. Any payment collected online will be in Pounds Sterling.
Children are welcome sharing a double bedroom with two adults:
4 – 12yrs, £26 per child per night bed & breakfast, dinner available but will incur additional costs.
A 3rd Adult in a room will be charged at £36.00 per person per night Bed & Breakfast, dinner will incur an additional charge.
Portable beds may need to be used where accommodation is sought. The Hotel will determine whether a room is suitable for the purpose of this offer. Children staying in their own room will be charged the full adult rate. All children (under 16 years of age) staying at the Hotel must be accompanied by an adult and must be supervised by an adult.
Hotel gift vouchers should be presented on check-in, when paying for your meal or on arrival at the Hotel.
We cannot guarantee a table in the restaurant in the evening for guests on bed and breakfast terms and you should contact the Hotel restaurant direct to make a reservation. Menus are also subject to change and are provided for indicative purposes only.
Children under the age of four can stay and eat free at the Hotel, when sharing a room with two paying adults on the same meal basis. For children from the ages of 4 to 12 years charges will apply.
Guide dogs are accepted at our Hotel with prior arrangement. Dogs are permitted in some rooms. Please call the Hotel for details and charges.
Guests may use the facilities throughout the duration of their stay. All children under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by a responsible adult whilst using the swimming pool.
There is no fee for car parking within the Hotel’s car park when staying overnight. Cars and their contents are left at the owner’s risk and we do not accept responsibility for loss or damage.
The whole hotel is non-smoking. All rooms are equipped with smoke detectors. Should smoking be evident in your accommodation, and the room considered to be unsuitable to be re-let to the following guests we reserve the right to charge for any losses incurred.
Royal Lion Hotel Cancellation/Amendment Policy
For all bookings we require a non-refundable deposit of the first night’s stay per room. Unfortunately, should you for any reason have to cancel or amend your booking within 28 days of your arrival; we will charge the full rate for the booking (the full rate will only be charged if we are unable to re-let the room/s). We recommend our guests procure appropriate travel insurance.
Whilst every effort is made to fulfil any requests which you may make in relation to your stay with us, please note that these requests do not form part of the Contract and we cannot guarantee that we will be able to meet any requests.
Limitation of liability
The company will not be responsible for the loss or damage of any property left in the Hotel other than as required under the Hotel Proprietor’s Act 1956 or any other applicable law.
We reserve the right, and you hereby authorise us to charge your credit or debit card for any damage incurred to your room or the Hotel during your stay (including without limitation specialist cleaning) or for any items that are missing or damaged when you leave.
